Letter to the Editor

Impeach Cheney for lying to get us into war

Editor, the Record:

Cheney must be impeached. Congress must do its job. Most members sat through the sham impeachment of Bill Clinton for lying about personal infidelities. Cheney lied about Iraq and Congress went along.

He was to hole up until inspectors were sent back into Iraq to check out his lies. Before we began the assault, he was to come back to Congress, but he never did. The inspectors were pulled out and he assaulted a defenseless country for the reason 80% of us know.

There was only one reason he launched the assault. To steal their oil, so he could tell OPEC to go to . . . you know what. However, the Iraqis knew this and immediately began sabotaging production and supply. So when his cabal realized the futility of controlling their oil, they changed it from searching for weapons of mass destruction to Iraqi Freedom. What a joke.

I apologize to the wonderful military and their families for saying this. I have to say it (and I know many others would also like to say it), so it will never again happen to our wonderful country.

I would like to see Cheney waterboarded to make him admit his lies. However, I doubt his "ticker" could take it.

Yes, the impeachment must include his puppet, although his last pertinent decision was: Do I want a draft or bottled?

Impeaching Cheney and turning him over to the International Criminal Court for sentencing (his lies caused probably a million deaths),would be our first step in apologizing to the world for his arrogance.

The result of this has been that we are hated by 80% of the world. Terrorism has increased 10-fold and our grandkids and great-grandkids have been left with a massive debt.

God bless our wonderful military and their families.
