Hillary changed mind; doesn't deserve vote

Editor, the Record:

U.S. senators have no greater obligation then when they cast votes to send our armed forces off to war. Politicians must stand by their vote and convictions.

Tim Russert asked Hillary Clinton, "Can we have disarmament without regime change?" Hillary answered, "I doubt it. I can support the president. I can support an action against Saddam Hussein because I think it is in the long-term interest of our national security."

During the floor speech authorizing the use of U.S. Armed Forces against Iraq, Hillary declared, "This is a very difficult vote. This is probably the hardest decision I have ever had to make — any vote that might lead to war should be hard — but I cast it with conviction."

We should not reward senators who change their minds based on current political winds. Hillary doesn't deserve the presidency; she deserves to be voted out of office altogether.
